In English we completed out text ‘Circle’. The Godwit birds have returned back to Australia after migrating to China and Alaska. The boy in a wheelchair at the start of the story looks better and is moving about on his own.
The children wrote a letter to the boy telling him what had happened to the Godwits.
The children started using fronted adverbials at the start of sentences to show when things happened.
Mia has been helping Madison to do her homework during breakfast club. What a superstar!
Mia is working hard every day to improve her reading.
In maths we have been doing some more assessments. We have done vertical addition with tricky columns and addition with amounts of money using £ and a decimal point.
We put up our Christmas tree on December 1st for the first day of Advent. Madison and Stephen had treats from the Advent calendar. The children have been encouraged to show extra kindness during Advent.
School is closed for children on Monday 5 December. The staff have a trading day. See you all back in school on Tuesday 6 December.
