America’s Favorite Fashion Doll Walks The Runway
The Mary Therese Friel Modeling Agency produced a very special fashion show at The Strong National Museum of Play to celebrate the release of The Barbie Movie.
On July 22nd and 23rd, guests at The Strong enjoyed “America’s Favorite Fashion Doll,” which is a Barbie themed Fashion Show, created by Mary Therese Friel and inspired by The Strong Museum’s extensive Barbie collections.
“The release of The Barbie Movie provides a wonderful opportunity for us to share this phenomenal show with the community again,” said Mary Therese Friel, Agency President. The show is right off the runway of Fashion Week of Rochester, produced in partnership between The Mary Therese Friel Modeling Agency and The Strong Museum. “In true Barbie fashion, the wardrobe is fun, fancy, dramatic and very couture,” said Friel.
America’s Favorite Fashion Doll was held in The Strong's Paychex Theatre for a capacity crowd on both days. Guests at the Strong saw the show and were able to meet and greet the Barbie models afterwards, pose for photos and receive autographs.
The models overwhelmingly reported that their favorite part of the event was greeting the children after the show.
