Well, we only thought Spring would be here in April. Turns out the cold weather wanted to stick around along with it's friend wind. Hopefully May will bring those warmer temperatures so we can get back outside!

TOWN COUNCIL NEWS: The regular April Council Meeting was held on Wednesday 04/19/23 at 6:00pm. The regular May Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday 05/16/23 at 6:00pm.

PLANNING AND ZONING: The April P & Z Meeting was held on Tuesday 04/12/23 at 6:00pm. The May P & Z Meeting will be held on Tuesday 05/09/23 at 6:00pm.

CURRENT JOB POSTINGS:

  • The Town of Springerville Police Department is now accepting applications and resumes for Police Academy Cadets. These are full-time non-exempt positions under FLSA. Selected applicants will attend the police academy to become a sworn officer. The hourly pay is $20.55 during the academy.   • Town of Springerville Police Department is now accepting applications and resumes for Lateral Police Officers. These are full-time non-exempt positions under FLSA.   • The Town of Springerville is accepting applications for a Planning and Zoning Director/Building Inspector. This is a full-time, exempt position that reports directly to the Town Manager. Responsibilities include the overall program development, implementation, operation, monitoring and evaluation of all programs of the Planning and Zoning Department. The Director shall enforce the laws governing the zoning and building ordinances, serve as the code enforcement official and accomplish all administrative actions required by the ordinance.   • The Town of Springerville is accepting applications for a Tour Guide / Gift Shop Clerk. This is a part-time, non-exempt position that reports directly to the Museum Director. Previous experience giving tours at a cultural site is preferred but not required. Applicant must have some computer knowledge and be able to process cash and credit card transactions on a cash register and computer. Tour Guides act as backup to the Museum Director when necessary. When not giving tours, they provide visitors with information regarding the museum as well as answer general tourist questions.   • The Town of Springerville is accepting applications for an Accounting Assistant. This is a full-time, with benefits, 40 hr a week position. The starting hourly salary range is $17.73 to $19.95 DOE. CLICK HERE for the full job description. This position reports directly to the Finance Director. Responsibilities include performing accounting tasks including bi-weekly payroll and tasks that involve the application of bookkeeping principles and practices in the maintenance of financial and accounting records and assisting the Account Clerk II in their duties when necessary.
