Concept
Similar to the long-term project, the concept of this project is to pick any theme and shoot with the theme. The goal of the project is to expand our portfolio. For my theme I deiced to choice a few different topics and combine the together. The topics I chose were fashion and dynamic colors. I think the combination of the two topics will help me experiment with something new and expand my imagination and creativity.
Research
For this project I did not do a lot of physical research but instead did a lot of leaning research. Basically while setting up for the shoot I did a lot of trial and error, I had to test a lot of things to see what works and what didn't. Because the shoot was in my basement lighting was tricking due to me not having any windows in the area. Although this was still the best place for me to set up the shoot so I had to fix the lighting. The way I did that was by grabbing my dads huge outdoor lighting and using it as regular studio lighting. I had to mess with positions with the lights so no shadows were created. I also learned to makeup technics to do for the photoshoot.

Process
The Idea
I had to start off with any idea, I deiced that I really wanted to do fashion photography because it was a good way to expand my portfolio and I found interest in it. I thought the idea of just doing fashion photography was a little boring and to make it more interesting I added the idea of making everything dynamic: including colors, makeup, and poses.
The Inspiration
Main Insipation
In my main inspiration of pictures you can see the extreme posing and the dynamic colors really bring to the overall feel of the photograph together. The inspiration tend to have plain backgrounds and the model stands out a lot which will be one of the main goals.
Makeup Inspiration
The makeup will be very dramatic with the colors going out of the eyes and creating strange and something interesting on the face. I want to include this because with everything going on I still want some attention to be drawn to the face.
Posing Inspiration
For the posing inspiration I really want extravagant and out of the ordinary poses to go along with the rest of the shoot. I know that I have to really go for a lower angle because fashion styles photos tend to have their models kind of stretch out and taller.
Setting up
For this set up there were many steps. Starting with the backdrop I grabbed many white blankets and hung the from the top of the wall to the ground. I had to use multiple sheets to get full coverage but it will be fixed later in photo shop. The next step was lighting, I borrowed my dads outdoor lighting to help with the lighting. The next step is to get the model ready. My model will be doing multiple outfit and makeup looks. So I got them set up for the first look. I had them put on the outfit that we had preplanned and then I applied the makeup. We took the shot and repeated the process.
Editting
For editing I did not go to crazy due to the photo already being quite a lot. I fixed up the background by making it more white and removing the lines from the separate sheets. I also removed the wrinkles for it. For the model I fixed a few imperfections in the skin. I adjusted the light and I made the colors more saturated. I did try to add some other editing technics to make my pictures more interesting and overall at the same editing to all the pictures to make them look more cohesive.
The Before Shots
Reflection
To be fairly honest I don't know how I feel about my pieces, still like them but I definitely stepped out my comfort zone but I do not know if they are very authentic to me. I did enjoy experimenting with different effects and technics and I may do them again but maybe in a different way. My original portrait style is very much more me but I will try to do more photoshoots like this that are more extreme. I also like that even though a lot of these picture are quite different they are still cohesive. Overall I enjoyed the project and don't think I would change anything.
