Dear leaders, thank you for your outstanding videos and presentations on your design thinking project. You could display your understanding of how you can organize a perfect birthday party in the best possible way! Resilience is a way to success and your group presentation to explain is commendable. Through the leadership club, you have understood that how important it is to work together in a team. We have now learned what it takes to be a leader and how to lead to make this world a better place to live. Through the Leadership ABLE club, you have learned the skills of being confident, principled, risk-taker, planner, and an open-minded individual who is now ready to lead. I wish you the best in all your future endeavors.
With great pride, we want to tell everyone that with our hard work, cooperation, dedication, and commitment we have finally opened our Leaders Library. We feel proud of our achievement and are happy when we see children from all classes when they come and read books there. We learned skills like how to plan, organize, design, and present different projects once we undertake them. We were also involved in The Rich Language week, where we read books to our peers in different ABLE clubs and also taught them how to make bookmarks for their books. In the month of December, we will be going ahead with developing strategies as to how to take care of the books under our care and how to to keep the library organized. We also did research on famous leaders and presented our knowledge on their achievements. We as little leaders will begin creating things by recycling old things and doing our part to take care of our environment.
December
October was a month that was spent in working towards opening the Leaders library. We were involved in planning, organizing and arranging resources for our library. We have collected more than 100 books till now! In November, we will be going ahead with planning for the opening our library and making it available for our friends and teachers around the school to read as many books as possible. We will now plan for the rules, that every reader has to follow while reading books from the library. We will also take turns towards keeping the books properly arranged. We did a morning assembly to inform our friends and teachers about the library so they can donate as many books as possible. We will make our friends to grow, read and learn more and more books.

In September, our leaders participated in the teacher's day event and showed gratitude towards their teachers. They displayed true leadership skills like time management, cooperation, coordination, and group work and worked towards bringing smiles to the teacher's faces. Leaders developed confidence and speaking skills while giving interviews about what their life would be without a teacher. Our leaders got inspired by famous young leaders like Ryan Hickman and the Zollipop girl. They became researchers and shared their findings of the work of different young leaders from all over the world. Our Leaders have started working to open the Leaders Library in the school as a special endeavor from the leadership club members. The month of October will be focused on planning, organizing, launching the Leadership Library, and make books available for all our PYP friends.
October
The leadership month started with our leaders finding out their inner talents and goal setting. Our leaders reflected on what leadership qualities they have and what they will like to have. Children discussed the qualities of leaders and how they want to see them in their personalities. We explored the quality and need of teamwork in any given situation and how a leader leads it.
Gratitude is one of the most important qualities that a person should have and our leaders are very well aware of it. In September our little leaders from grades 1,2,3,4 and 5 are getting together as a team and preparing activities to show gratitude towards their teachers. We will be going ahead with how a leader should be a good decision-maker. Leaders should be able to differentiate between right and wrong and make the right decisions to create a positive influence. Topics that will be covered in September will include redesigning routines characteristics of a student leader, with limited and available resources, student agency, ownership, and voice, and also developing gratitude. Looking forward to another exciting month with our little leaders.

The core of leadership is confidence and the ability to believe in yourself. To be able to move ahead in life, our children need to believe in their abilities and have the confidence to try out new activities. Leadership skills help them with that. In August, our little leaders will start the journey of their leadership club by developing an understanding of various aspects of being a leader. Leadership tends to indicate the innate ability of a child to gather different people and help everyone work together towards a singular goal. This includes developing the path to be followed and the best way to reach the destination together as a group. We will understand a leader is someone who can inspire or motivate others to meet a common purpose. We will explore the skills like social and communication skills that we have to enhance as they are the essence of being a good leader. Through various activities, we will identify how we can develop our leadership qualities thus making us confident leaders of tomorrow who are ready to lead the world.

All children are born as leaders, all we have to do is inculcate the leadership qualities in them!
Dear little leaders, we welcome you all to a new year and your new ABLE Club, 'Leadership'. LEADERSHIP CLUB - WHY? We know that all children have the potential to develop leadership skills for his/her future and move ahead on the road to success. We can teach the vital skills for the students to take on leadership roles now and in the future. Being a leader will help the members of the club build confidence and succeed in the holistic development of the learner. Design Thinking
Leadership is the capacity to lead and reach a level of achievement which makes you stand apart!
Design thinking starts with people. It’s about putting human needs at the center of what we do. It’s about simple mindset shifts and new ways of looking at problems through Empathy and Collaboration. For an idea to be both meaningful and successful, our students would be exploring things around them with Empathy, Ideation, Prototyping, and Application with feasibility, desirability, and viability. The skills of design thinking will help students take the biggest of their challenges and build their creative competence with the support of caring and creative mentors. Making their way through this path, children can naturally design processes that will make lives better for the whole human race.
