What are Ute men respnsible for? What do the women do? What is life like for a Ute child?

Men were to feed and defend their families, Women were to do most of the child care, cooking, and cleaning. Also, women made most of their clothing and household tools. Children are like other children where they play outside with their siblings and friends, they also go to school and help around the house.

What do their clothes look like?

Women wore long deerskin dresses. Men wore breechcloths with leather leggings and back skin shirts. Some even wore back skin moccasins. And children wore the same as women did which would be long deerskin dresses.

Where are Ute homes located? What are their homes made of?

Their homes are located in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Nevada. Most Western Ute people lived in wikiups. Wikiups are small rounder cone shaped houses made of a willow frame covered with brush. Eastern Ute people prefer plain-style tipis. Tipis are tall, cone-shaped buffalo-hide houses that can be put together or taken apart quickly.

What do Ute people celebrate? What customs do they follow?

Ute people celebrate spring with traditional Bear Dance. They celebrate the bear dance because one day two brothers were hunting and they saw a bear that was dancing with a tree. Plain Ute Indians celebrate the ghost dance. (took place at night) Ute Indians follow customs like they traded among each other for supplies.
