To all our supporters, parents and participants:
As 2020 – with all of its incredible and novel challenges – comes to an end, we at the United Sports Academy want to thank you for your support. Whether your children participated in our activities, or you attended one of our events, or you provided us with financial support, your contribution has been valued, recognized, and appreciated.
Our goal as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization has been to provide the entire tri-state region with a premier athletic facility for our kids to excel both on the court and off the court. At every level, in every corner, every thing we do with our kids and for our kids is to make sure they develop as responsible, focused, and committed teammates and into young adults.
And we’re even more excited about what 2021 will be for the United Sports Academy and our athletes!
With the exception of COVID closing our doors for a brief time in the spring, we barely had a single quiet day throughout the year. And we are confident Siouxland’s kids – from kindergarten through high school -- are better for it.
Just a brief list of our many 2020 activities:
From camps and lessons to “4 on 4” tournaments, we had a variety of volleyball events that brought NCAA & NAIA coaches along with notable MVP alumni to The CNOS Fieldhouse to lead and share their knowledge with Siouxland volleyball players. Our MVP United staff led by Melissa Smith, Kam Smith and Rick Pruett along with their team of talented coaches will continue to provide high level training opportunities to athletes from PK - college in 2021.
We took a break from our sporting activities for a night and celebrated the Fourth of July with friends and family.
We even hosted the North Sioux City Car Show at the CNOS Fieldhouse parking lot before the summer ended!
Boys’ and girls’ basketball offered clinics, training, camps, and a variety of tournaments that developed the skills of our basketball players throughout 2020.
We hosted the Pella Gateway Pickleball Tournament in conjunction with the Siouxland Pickleball Association in the CNOS Fieldhouse.
In line with our focus of giving athletes the opportunity to pursue their college athletic dreams, we had 12 seniors go on to achieve and live out those dreams!
