Grow: One Single Focus.
During the last few months there has been a constant clamor and prayer in our congregation: we want to grow. We are not only talking about numbers but also about quality. To date we have had assistance of 35 brothers and if we count the children, we speak of 42. Sunday to Sunday, God blesses us with visits, which very soon become regular. We are very excited to see new families and new brothers coming to meet us and staying to be part of this group of believers. God has been good and his mercy is felt and experienced in all areas.
Spiritual gifts at the service of God.
Being a disciple of Jesus is not only believing in Jesus but following and living under his will. That living under his will also implies the correct and faithful use of the gifts that God has given to each believer. In the month of June we learned about gifts and how to use them for the glory of God. Did you know that every believer has spiritual gifts and that they are for the use and benefit of the church?
The Culture in Spanish
The culture of the Goshen Hispanic Church is a culture that has very biblical characteristics: we believe that the culture of God is a dialogue between God and his people. It is a very participatory culture. It has the regular elements: prayers, songs, and the sermon based on the Word of God. It has singular, well, our worship begins by reviewing a question from the Heidelberg Catechism. We believe that knowing what we believe is vital in the Christian life. Also, another essential part of our worship is our fellowship. After the service we often have a lunch for the whole congregation.
