Everybody Hears Everything
Rehearsal Live Share (RLS) delivers large remote rehearsal sessions by gathering all the separate participant audio signals and synchronizing them for the director. The director hears the full ensemble live, without any Internet lag. But the downside has been session participants could not hear each other...until now.
With today's update, directors can now share back stereo recording to all participants. Almost immediately, everyone can hear the full results together, all within the RLS software.
Remote Rehearsals Just Got Real
The process is straightforward. As soon as you complete the first pass of the music, you can listen back to what you just did, together with the full ensemble. And that recording can then become the backing track for further rehearsing. So after round 1, you'll be working with the full group - just maybe a take or two removed. Still, you can learn from and build off of what you just did, and the experience will be that much more productive and feel that much more real.
This will be step 1 of the feature rollout. Future enhancements will include:
- Multichannel sharing (i.e. separate audio for each participant).
- Video recordings.
