ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year
Jordan Szabo from Texas A&M University has been named the 2023 ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year.
Szabo accepted the position of Texas A&M women's tennis assistant coach in 2017, and has done nothing but aid the program since. In his time as the assistant coach he has been awarded Texas Region Assistant Coach of the year in 2019, Texas Region Assistant Coach of the year in 2022 and ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year in 2022.
Following a historic year for the program, Szabo was elevated to the position of associate head coach. Following a pair of conference championships in the 2022 season, he aided in the repeat of the regular season conference title this season and helped the Aggies reach the SEC tournament final.
Szabo helped recruit and guide the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation to have instant contributors to the Aggies success this season. The Aggies finished the season 30-3, including going unbeaten in regular season conference play and at home.
Texas A&M reached the Quarterfinals of the 2023 NCAA Team Championship and had 11 Top 25 wins this season.
