UNH Men's Hockey Announces 2023-24 Schedule

Two home games versus defending National Champion Quinnipiac and White Out the Whitt Weekend against arch-rival Maine highlight the 2023-24 University of New Hampshire men’s hockey schedule. The Wildcats will play a total of 34 regular season games with 18 at the Whittemore Center.

2023-24 Schedule Highlights:

• The Wildcats play their first six games at home starting with a match up with 2023 Frozen Four participant Boston University (Oct. 13)

• The non-conference home schedule is highlighted with two games against 2023 National Champion Quinnipiac (Oct. 20-21)

• UNH will also take on Granite State rival Dartmouth (Oct. 28), Rensselaer (Dec. 9) and Princeton (Jan. 5-6) at the Whitt

• The Wildcats hit the road for non-conference games at RIT (Nov. 24-25), Army West Point (Dec. 29) and Sacred Heart (Dec. 30)

• White Out the Whitt Weekend is set for Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16-17, when the Wildcats host arch-rival Maine

• UNH takes on Hockey East opponents Boston College, Boston University, Maine and Northeastern three times, while the Wildcats play UConn, UMass, UMass Lowell, Merrimack, Providence and Vermont twice

October will be action packed at the Whitt with the Wildcats playing all five of their games at home. Quinnipiac (No. 1 ), Boston University (No. 4) and Northeastern (No. 16) were all ranked in the final national poll of the 2022-23 season.

October will also see the return of Granite State rival Dartmouth to Durham for the first time in four years. The last time the Big Green and UNH played at the Whitt was on Nov. 2, 2019, when the Wildcats won 5-4 in an overtime thriller.

The Wildcats conclude their six-game season-opening home stand when they host Providence (Nov. 3). Then after two road contests, UNH takes on Northeastern (Nov. 18) at the Whitt.

The Wildcats end November with their first ever trip to the Gene Polisseni Center in Rochester, N.Y., for two games versus RIT (Nov. 24-25).

UNH starts the month of December by traveling to Orono (Dec. 1) for the first of three Border Battle games during the season presented by Buffalo Wild Wings.

The Wildcats play their final home game of 2023 when they host Rensselaer (Dec. 9), before kicking off the second half of the season on the road versus Army West Point (Dec. 29) and Sacred Heart (Dec. 30).

The 'Cats open the new year with three consecutive home contests versus Princeton (Jan. 5-6) and Boston University (Jan. 13).

The Wildcats take on UConn in a home-and-home series with a game in Storrs on Jan. 19 and a match up at the Whitt on Jan. 21. UNH then hits the road to wrap up the month at Vermont (Jan. 26-27).

The Wildcats will play five of their eight games during February in Durham starting with home contests against Boston University (Feb. 2) and Merrimack (Feb. 3).

Following games at Boston College (Feb. 9) and Merrimack (Feb. 10), UNH will take on Maine on White Out the Whitt Weekend (Feb. 16-17). Last season, the Wildcats won two shootouts versus Maine in front of two sold out crowds at the Whitt.

UNH will conclude February with a home-and-home series with UMass, traveling to Amherst on Feb. 23 and returning for the home game (Feb. 24).

UNH concludes the regular season with four contests during March. The Wildcats take on Boston College at home on March 1 and on the road on March 2, while they conclude the regular season at UMass Lowell on March 8 and at the Whitt on March 9.

The 2024 Hockey East Tournament will start with the Opening Round on March 13, while the Quarterfinals are set for March 16. The Semifinals (March 22) and Finals (March 23) will take place at TD Garden.
