What does Reimagining the Possible mean to you? National Engineers Week 2022

The 2022 National Engineers Week theme is Reimagining the Possible, here is what that means to some of our amazing team members:

Being sustainable is the best thing we can do for our future generations. As civil engineers, our goal is to solve problems efficiently to maximize our resources, such as turning landfills into a park or a solar farm, generating energy from waste with minimal impact on the earth, etc. It’s a great pleasure to be a part of a group that finds solutions for global crises.
Justin Mathew, E.I.T.
Solving problems and anticipating future needs is so satisfying. From considering the layouts and issues of neighboring areas for future land developments to implementing additional sampling at wastewater treatment plants to improve disease surveillance, engineers reimagine the possible so others do not have to. The best designs make people’s lives easier in a way they may not even notice but benefit from every day.
Bianca Nitica, E.I.T.
As civil engineers, we work to reimagine the built environment every day. I work with a team of talented professionals that balance competing goals to solve challenges at all scales, from accessibility to water quality to climate change. As our industry transitions to site redevelopment as opposed to new development, we’ll need to create denser communities that have a lower environmental impact and still meet our client’s goals.
