My experience at the LSWHTA Archaeology program By:Yaricsa + Theme =Archaeology as personal

This was my first day at the LSWHTA Archaeology program and me and Gabby and Michael were on a quest to find our future jobs.
Gabby 💕
My second journey was about the tree ring physicians and it’s s detail behind it.I also learned about constructing rocks with shapes.
A tree ring.

Learning about artefacts and how our ancestors lived is really interesting to me because the way archeologist found out that someone used this certain tool with certain objects.
Our ancestors making pots/ pottery.
Pots with unique designs.
Our first official “field trip” was at the Casa Grande archaeology site.I found pottery and artefacts we then got to play with mud,we played with mud because it was assigned for us but it was originally making your house with very detailed graphics because you are suppose to make it a certain way as your putting the mud and water on the “wall” yes we did get very messy with mud!
Artefacts of pottery.
REBECCA!😘
One and only 😇
Our second field trip was at the Tumacacori Mission site and this one in particular was very different from the rest because they had a cemetery near the building.I made a adobe brick because we were intimidating ourselves of how hard it was making one single brick.
My adobe brick.

San Javier was such a special moment because I haven’t been there in years and to go with friends & amazing people was such wonderful experience.
La virgencita de Guadalupe
We got a lot closer after this ❤️

Archaeology as personal, the day I would of never experienced because it was something new for me;)

“That one fun day”
Mission gardens was the funniest part because the guy in this picture is Paul. The reason why it’s funny was because Paul made a joke. The program was very distinctive because I would see it everyday but i didn’t know what it was until I went with the archeology staff.

Montezuma cassle was the best to look at it.My first impression seeing this amazing sculpture was so stunning I thought it was fake!

What makes a house a home? In my interpretation I think family is the key to a home because without them we don’t consider someone else “family” also because we don’t know them as well as we do in order to get connections with someone in particular that we don’t know.

How is Montezuma a home ? Montezuma is like a home because it’s historically important just like my own house knowing someone is in my property I would like them to respect my home And that is what I did when I went to the Montezuma castle.

Finally the Grand Canyon was my favorite because it was my 2nd time going but since I saw a different angle of it it was again breath taking !Then my first experience.

Archeology work

It was such a wonderful experience to learn new ideas of our ancestors life & our past.

  • The reason why it was a wonderful experience of learning about our churches, land & our past was a great way to share moments and achieve the best possible differences in our own lives.
  • The reason why it was meaningful experience was because I would of never thought archaeology is the way it is and the reason behind it is that I understood a different way.
  • My favorite part about the LASWHTA ARCHAEOLOGY PROGRAM was sharing odd and funny moments with my “friends”
  • What I will remember the most of this program is going camping with staff/ friends.
  • What will I gain out of this program? I will gain a lot of confidence and communication.
