Lencioni Ted Talk: 5 Dysfunctions of Teams
If [harmony] comes only as a result of people holding back their opinions and honest concerns then it’s a bad thing. I’d trade that false sense of harmony any day for a team’s willingness to argue effectively about an issue and then walk away with no collateral damage.״- Lencioni, Patrick M.
Ghost Guide: Overcoming Obstacles
FLOW: /flō/The state in which people are so involved in an activity that nothing else seems to matter; the experience itself is so enjoyable that people will do it even at great cost, for the sheer sake of doing it... Flow is the way people describe their state of mind when consciousness is harmoniously ordered, and they want to pursue whatever they are doing for its own sake. - Mihály Csíkszentmihályi
I learned:
- To be more intentional in how I develop groups.
- The importance of creating a group contract.
- To pay attention to the 'under bubbles.'
- That sometimes conflict is a good thing. I shouldn't avoid conflict in my groups.
- Good groups don't just 'happen.' There are a lot of things that facilitators can do to help the group along.
