Online registration for next year will open after May 27th. We encourage you to register your students as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the office.

State Testing (SBAC) will be happening May 9th-12th. If you wish to have your student opt out from testing, please fill out the form and return to the office. These forms will be available at the office and on our website.

Our Final Friday Focus will be May 13th! This would be a great time to have your child get caught up as the end of the year approaches quickly. For our 6th and 7th graders, this would be great if you're needing to bring your academics up prior to Outdoor School. As a reminder, the doors do not open until 8:30am. You can find the dates on our school calendar. Students can also sign up through the Google form found on their grade-level Google Classrooms or at the office.

Just a friendly reminder that our dress code, per the student handbook, states that "clothing may not depict, advertise or advocate the use of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, weapons or other controlled substances." You can review the dress code found on page 4 of the student handbook.

Save the Date! 8th Grade Promotion will be Saturday, June 11th at the Amity High School Football Field at 5pm.

8th Grade field trip to Oaks Park will happen on Thursday, June 9th. In order for your student to attend this field trip they must be cleared by each teacher, the library and office. All fees must be paid. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

Save the Date for the Rock-A-Thon happening on Thursday, May 12th! This is a fundraiser that helps pay for the 8th grade field trip and promotion. Permission slips went home in April. If you need a permission slip, please stop by the office. In order for your child to attend the Rock-A-Thon, the permission slip must be turned into the office by May 9th. Pledges are due to the office by May 19th. We are encouraging each student to bring in a minimum $25 or more.

Outdoor School is coming up fast! Please save the date for Monday, May 2nd for an All Parent Meeting at 6pm in the gym. This meeting is mandatory for our parents and students.

Permission slips for ODS will be available at the meeting for students who have not turned them in. All students must have the permission slips and waivers signed. The permission slips allow the students to attend Outdoor School and the waiver allow them to participate in specific activities such as paintball and horseback riding. If your student plans on fishing, we will need a copy of their fishing license at the office.

We have exciting news!!! AMS is happy to announce that we are offering two trips next year for students currently enrolled in grades 5 through 7 at Amity School District. If you are interested in attending either of these trips, please contact Miss Jeanna.

Leadership would like to announce that Warriors Night Out has changed to Friday, June 3rd after school. More information will come later.

Leadership applications are coming out shortly. See Mrs. Laura for any questions regarding next year's leadership team.

Warriors Serve will be accepting applications for next year's team. Pick up an application at the office. If you have any questions or concerns, please see Mrs. Prevett or Mrs. Johnson for any questions.

1. If you student is sick, please do not send them to school. We ask that you call the office at 503-835-0518, to excuse your student for being out. If your student becomes ill during the day, a parent or guardian will be contacted.

Amity Middle School will follow all Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Department of Education mandates regarding COVID protocols, including increased cleaning and sanitizing procedures.

All students are required to pay a student body fee of $15. Your student will receive their student body card and will be welcome to attend student body activities as long as their student body fee is paid.

Sports fees are $50 per sport with the exception of Trap Team (clay shooting). Information for Trap Team fees will be made available upon sign ups. These payments are required prior to the first competition.

Mr. Ludwig is hosting a Strategies Game Day that will meet on Wednesday's from 3:15pm-5pm in the Tech Bungalow (Mr. Ludwig's class room). Students are welcome to attend this, hey, you may even learn how to play some new games!

Breakfast and lunches will be free to all students in the district again this year. Below is a link to access the menus on the district website. However, there are always paper copies located at the front of the middle school office for parents and students to grab.
