Materials
- Elmers bottled glue
- 2 yard sticks
- 1 box paper clips
- 2 Kleenex Boxes
- At least 2 rubber bands
- 190 Popsicle sticks
- Newspaper
Building the structure
- Take the newspaper and open it up
- Lay it flat on a flat surface
- Grab 2 Popsicle sticks and lay them flat end to end on the newspaper
- Take another stick and lay it flat evenly in the middle of the 2 sticks
- Open the elmers glue and glue the sticks together
- Continue steps 3-4 until there are 7 sticks on top and 7 on bottom (14 in total)
- Continue step 3-6 for 3 more lines of 14
- If needed, paper clip the sticks together
- Give time for glue to dry
Creating the bridge
- Grab the 2 yard sticks and lay them down on the newspaper but on opposite sides
- Take 2 lines of 14 and lay them next to the yard sticks
- Take more popsicle sticks and lay them evenly on both sides of the 2 lines
- Glue the the sticks together so the 2 lines are connected
- If needed, paper clip the sticks
- Give time for glue to dry
Making the triangles
- After the sticks are dried, start making the triangles
- Take 2 sticks and put them on the corners to make the triangles
- Continue to do this until you get half-way down the lines, then start making them the other way
- Repeat steps 2-3 for the other side
Putting the 2 sides together
- After the glue on the triangles are dried, you'll want to start putting it together
- Take 2 Kleenex boxes and lay them flat spread apart end to end
- Take the 2 sides and put them as close as you can to each other in either side of the boxes
- You may want someone to help you
- Take the rubber bands and wrap them around the bridge and boxes to keep it together
Keeping it together
- Take some sticks and start to put them on top of the the 2 sides to hold it together
- Put them on top of eachother for more support
- Glue them down
- If needed, paper clip them together
- Wait for glue to dry
Flipping it over
- After the top is dried, you'll want to flip it over for the bottom and repeat the process
