Testimonials

I found this book very interesting. Just yesterday I was discussing forgiveness with one of my daughters. I appreciated the personal nature of the book which worked well. I found it a very encouraging and challenging book.

- Jackie Brown, London, England

What a great piece of work. I am really enjoying it and learning great lessons from it. You are a great story teller.

-Eric Ellington Agedeenah, Ghana, Africa

I admire you for the courage it took to share how difficult it was and how the "losses" impacted you so deeply. As I read the book, I could hear your voice telling me the story. In fact, I think you should take the key parts and craft a speech (now ted-style talk) out of it. Your resilience through what you learned from your mom itself is worth the price of admission. Thank you for sharing it and trusting us with those insecurities and those moments of clarity. I felt many of the same ones myself (for different reasons of course) and can honestly say that those insecurities are what has kept me storing up dreams instead of letting them out like you do here in writing this book.

-Jeffrey Broadnax, Ohio, US

Excerpt from book

“So now I was officially divorced. The nightmare was finally a reality. In the midst of trying to help my kids find a new normal, I had to find one too! In the middle of the anger and confusion of two people who loved and hated each other at the same time, I had to find a way to fight back. I needed to fight for myself for the first time in my life. I had to make myself more important than anyone around me. My marriage had become the hope for change in my family history. I was making a difference for them. But now I had to make a difference for me.”
