What is a contusion? It is an injury that leaves bruising to any part of the brain.

Symptoms: symptoms of memory loss, attention problems , emotional desturbences, motor skill difficulties, numbness, loss of vision, nausea and vomiting, change in pupil size, Some people may have seizures as a result of the TBI.

Preventions: Always wear a seatbelt, use an appropriate child seat, or a booster, always wear a helmet when on a bicycle, motorcycle, or scooter.

Treatment: Immediate treatment for tbi varies according to the type and severity of the injury and involves surgery to control bleeding in and around the brain, Monitoring and controlling intracranial pressure, insuring adequate blood flow to the brain, treating the body for other injuries and infection.
