• His uncle, Will Wolford, was a three-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle who played 13 seasons in the NFL
• Was rated three-star recruit by Rivals.com and ESPN; committed to play football at Wake Forest
• Started his college career as the first Wake Forest player to start all 12 games as a true freshman, setting school records in attempts, passing yards, touchdowns, and completion percentage
• Set school bowl game records in completions (32), attempts (49), passing yards (400), and touchdowns (4), becoming the first FBS player since 2000 to pass for 400+ yards, rush for 65+ yards, and throw 0 interceptions in a bowl game
• Earned Second Team All-ACC in 2017
• Received Spirit of Wayne Calloway Award from the Wake Forest University School of Business, which honors an individual who exemplifies the best that the school has to offer the business world and society

Pro Career

• Went undrafted in 2018 but was quickly signed by the Jets
• Arizona Hotshots drafted Wolford with their second-round pick in the 2019 AAF QB Draft (but the AAF season was later cancelled)
• On April 10, 2019, signed with the Los Angeles Rams and solidified a full-time roster spot for himself
• Made his NFL debut as a starting quarterback for the Rams against the Cardinals during week 17 of the 2020 season following an injury to starting quarterback, Jared Goff
• Became the first quarterback to make his first start with a team during Week 17 with a playoff berth on the line since 2013
• Became the first quarterback to pass for 200+ yards and rush for 50+ yards in an NFL debut
