CALL ME QUEEN

"Call Me Queen" is Cyrene's debut novel published January 2017. After years of writing poetry, her first literary love, she decided to expand her love for words and storytelling. The characters coupled with original poems, allow for a dramatic and personal touch for each story. This novel is comprised of seven short stories. Each short story tells the tales of a different character. Each girl elevating in maturity onto womanhood. This book can be summed up in one word, hope. Hope to keep going. Hope to be more. Hope for love.

During the 108th NAACP Author's Pavilion at the NACCP National Convention, held in Baltimore, Maryland July 2017, Cyrene was hand selected to be a featured author during the coveted event. Besides Maryland, she has traveled throughout New York City , Washington D.C., and Dallas, Texas speaking and hosting events for the promotion of her novels and encouraging others to follow their dreams.

INDIGO

Cyrene also wrote "Indigo, a collection of poems" published October 2017. After writing poetry for over two decades, she decided it was time to release a larger body of work. It is an eclectic collection of poetry capturing very essence of rhyme and expression. This book has been written for the poetry lover, literary enthusiast, dreamer and realist. It features poems about romance, love and historical appreciation. "Indigo" is an honest take of a personal journey through depth in words.

A GODDESS DREAMS

"A Goddess Dreams, a novel" is the follow up to "Call Me Queen." It was published January 2018 one year after her debut novel. This novel like "Call Me Queen," features original poems. It allows for an intimate approach to the book's dynamics and special interest into the main character and subjects. Even though "A Goddess Dreams" is the continuation from the first book, it is written in a way where the reader won't be confused and stands independently on its own. Unlike its predecessor, this novel is from the perspective of one main character. As for this body of work, it can be summed up in one word, healing. "A Goddess Dreams" highlights one woman's journey to her peace and acceptance.

BLUSH

"Blush, a collection of poems" is Cyrene's fourth book published November 2018. It is a collection of poems which represents the sweetest places in the heart space. Expressed with words, rhythmic melody and all the while cloaked in honesty. "Blush" allows for people, lovers and creatives to relate to the gray areas of our lives, the black depth of our inner being and the white void of our perceptions.

ONYX

“Onyx, poems” is the fifth published book from author Cyrene Renee. It is a dark place. At times, it is a sad place, but a place we can all relate to. It is a real space and it should not be ignored. It could be a place of peace and solace. A private place within ourselves that could be the source of comfort and motivation. Our thoughts can roam free and judgement cannot survive. It is a space of love. It is a space where the noise is, and our voices can be heard. It is a place of consoling. It is just as sacred as our individual and collective light that we share. The hope is we all overcome all our fears.

PLAYWRIGHT

CALL ME QUEEN

After the publication of "Call Me Queen, a novel," "Call Me Queen, the stage play" was written, produced, directed by Cyrene herself. The one woman stage play debuted at the Manhattan Reparatory Theatre July, 2017. Cyrene performed each of the seven characters from the book, allowing them to come to life and show their own distinct personalities. It was also featured in the NY Winterfest Theater Festival January 2019 and the United Solo Theater Festival in November 2023.

50IN50

Cyrene's original monologue was featured in the stage production "50in50" at the Billie Holiday Theatre, March 2018. This theater production was a collective effort of 50 female playwrights from across the country speaking of their journey in the nationally known "Me Too Movement." It was an honor to be featured along so many prestigious women with the all produced female cast.

I DON'T THINK I DO

"I Don't Think I Do" the stage play debuted at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre in New York City June 2018. This off-off Broadway production featured a cast of talented actors to include Justin P. Armstrong, Audra Morales, Melvin J. Cox and Cyrene herself. Written, produced and directed by Cyrene, this light hearted and witty performance surely had the audience captivated.

POET

Indigo Spoken is a lyrical poetic reading of original poems by author Cyrene Renee. I also features the key songs that inspired the eclectic sections of the books. Thus allowing for an intimate insight by blending music and literature on one stage. All songs are by woman artists of color past and present. Paying homage and gratitude to the ladies who paved the way and continue to create meaningful and timeless music.

CONTRIBUTOR

Cyrene has served as a contributor for publications such as Nu Origins Magazine, Emily Cotton Top, and TheMagazine. She writes reviews of various kinds of books and literature to include novels (fiction and nonfiction), historical content, poetry books and comic books. She also conducts author interviews.

As an independent author herself, Cyrene has chosen to bring attention to other writers and literary enthusiast by using her platform in the artistic community. Hoping to share, spread awareness and create an honest space for artist to have their work read and stories told to interested readers. Thus expanding their following and reach into the global market.

FASHION

MODEL

Cyrene is a model in New York City. Specializing in runway, editorial, promotional, commercial, fit and figure modeling. She has been featured in a number of fashion shows (runway/presentations) such as New York Fashion Week (NYFW) and Fashion Week Brooklyn (FWBK) as well as international magazines and a variety of websites. Cyrene has served as Brand Ambassador for a various designers and show rooms. Currently, she works as a fit and figure model at Parsons University and The Fashion Institute of Technology.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR | PRODUCTION MANAGER | CASTING DIRECTOR

In addition to modeling, Cyrene has collaborated with international photographers Shamayim, Antwon Maxwell and a host of other photographers, designers and models as creative director for photo shoots and fashion shows. She served as the casting director for Project Runway All Star Designer Korto Momolu and Mangishi Doll as well also the production manager for Fashion at the Tower. Currently, Cyrene is the appointed model coordinator for Fashion Week Brooklyn (FWBK)

MODEL COACH

Cyrene has partnered with the late celebrity designers Corey Woods, Dell Scott, producer Rick Davy of FWBK, We Speak NYC Modeling Agency, hosted model development workshops for aspiring models, created one on one and group runway lessons for all genders. These events assist aspiring and established models in their modeling career in the fashion industry. Since venturing in the coaching and training realm, her students have been casted and participated in NYFW , London Fashion Week, FWBK, LA Fashion Week, DC Fashion Week, and a host of other fashion events.

SPEAKER | HOST

Cyrene has been featured on a number of expert panels to include the Models Guide Virtual Conference 2020, judged runway completions. Cyrene was a social media host for the talk show "Beyond Beauty Talk," brought to you by the Beyond Beauty Worldwide Organization where she served as the project manager and marketing director. Since then she was the keynote speaker at the Veterans Day Celebration for the DSS-HRA-DHS organization November 2023. January 2024, Cyrene shared a panel for an exclusive art exhibition with Q. Art+. In April 2024 Cyrene had the honor of being a panalist at St. John's University Fashion Conversation.

ACTING

Cyrene has starred in her self produced stage plays as well as featured commercials for NewDAY USA Veterans Mortgage Company and the Veteran Crisis Prevention commercial series with USA.gov and the Ad Council. Most recently she plays the role of Dr. Reynolds, a relationship therapist in the new television series "Ghosted" on Bric TV.
