Newsletter 26th February 2021

We start this half term with the wonderful news of being able to welcome all children back into school from 8th March.

The letter from this week gives a few more details as to the finer detail, however many things will remain the same as before Christmas.

I ask that you stick to the timings and are not waiting around school earlier than the time allocated. This is to ensure that we are limiting, as much as possible, any spread of the virus.

Plans are well underway to welcome everyone back and we look forward to seeing all the children back in school, safely, once again.

School life

Here is just a snippet of what you have all been getting up to this week!

Parents' Evening

Teachers will be meeting with all children next week on the afternoon to discuss their progress, what they are currently working well in and what they think their next steps to improve will be. Teachers will be arranging times for individual conversations with the children via Teams. As a result of this, there will not be the catch up sessions for Maths and English next week. This is to help with the transition of children back into school. This will be shared with parents/carers before the Parent's Evening, so that the discussion will also have your child's voice. We feel that this is even more important, during the current time.

Parents' Evening will be on the 23rd and 24th March, with bookings being available from next week via Parentmail.

World Book day

As not everyone is in school next week, we will be extended some activities into the week of 8th March. There is however, a full timetable of events for next week, ranging from author discussions, zooms with authors, poetry to drawing along with illustrators. It is a fun packed week!

Resources

If you need anything like exercise books for children to record their work in, please let us know and we can arrange a time for you to come and collect some from the main office.

LETs localise

Fundraising on Lets localise

We also have two campaigns to raise funds to purchase books for the school library. Please do spread the links as far and wide as possible. If anyone works in a large industry/company - please feel free to send it to any of the people who might like to connect to local schools. We are keen to develop links with local business and continue to drive the community links. It would be great to see if we could somewhere near the targets, we are a little way away at the minute.
