HEAD COACH PATRICK CHAMBERS

  • Head Coach Patrick Chambers is in his eighth season leading the Nittany Lions and now has 122 wins at Penn State, fifth on the program’s all-time list.
  • Chambers has guided seven different players to eight All-Big Ten First Team selections and 17 players to 37 overall appearances on All-Big Ten honor squads.
  • Chambers has 13 wins over Associated Press-ranked opponents, most of any Nittany Lion basketball coach.
  • The Philadelphia native previously spent two seasons as head coach at Boston University, guiding the Terriers to their first NCAA Tournament berth in nine years in 2010-11.
  • Chambers was also associate head coach of a Villanova team that reached the 2009 Final Four.

  • Nebraska, riding a two-game winning streak, is led by senior guard James Palmer Jr. with 19.1 points. Senior guard Glynn Watson Jr. adds 12.1 points per outing, while Isaiah Roby averages a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game.
  • Head coach Tim Miles is the only active coach to take teams to the postseason at the Division I, II and NAIA levels. In 2014, he guided the Cornhuskers to their first NCAA Tournament berth in 16 seasons, and last season Nebraska won 22 games, the most for the program since 1990-91.

PLAYER TO WATCH: MYLES DREAD

Freshman Guard

  • Dread has scored in double figures in each of the Nittany Lions' last two games. He has scored 10 or more points 12 times, including a season-high 19 points at DePaul.
  • On the season, Dread is averaging 8.8 points per game and leads the Nittany Lions in 3-point field goals with 57. He’s the first freshman to lead Penn State in this category since the 2004-05 season.
  • Dread was the 2018 Gatorade Player of the Year for Washington, D.C. and was named to the Washington Post 2018 All-Met first team.

BRYCE JORDAN CENTER

The Bryce Jordan Center, one of the premier collegiate basketball facilities in the nation, is the home of the Penn State Nittany Lions. Located on Curtin Road adjacent to Beaver Stadium, the spacious arena has a seating capacity of 15,261 for basketball and 16,000-plus for other events. The Jordan Center has a variety of uses, including athletic competitions, commencements and other academic events, trade shows, popular music concerts, artistic and cultural performances and family events. The Bryce Jordan Center is the largest arena in the state outside of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
