Tree of Life

The children have now finished their Tree of Life pictures and I think you will agree, they are so lovely. Over the past few weeks the children have not only thought about how they can create 2D & 3D sculptures, they have also learned about what the tree represents. They have explored the work of Marco Balich who designed a Tree of Life that was 35 metres high and people could actually climb inside of it.

In science this week we have been looking at the life-cycles of both fish and amphibians. We talked about how they both live in water but noted that amphibians also spend time on land.

in geography the children have really enjoyed comparing schools in different locations. They did this by looking at the human and physical features and labelled their findings.

We have continued looking at why Christmas is important to Christians. The children have discussed the Christmas story and thought carefully about what gifts they would give baby Jesus today. The children also drew some lovely pictures to represent this.
