Thank you for your support in helping us to reuse and recycle! If anybody couldn’t make the event we do still have uniform available. Please enquire through the school office.

DINNER MONEY IN ADVANCE PLEASE

Please can we remind parents and carers that dinner money should be paid for in advance. Please make payments on Parentpay at the beginning of the week if you intend for your child to have school meals that week.

A great deal of admin time is taken up chasing payments for overdue accounts. If balances are not cleared after reminders we will let you know that we will no longer be able to provide school meals for your child and they will need to bring a packed lunch until the matter is resolved. If you are having any difficulties making payment, please contact the office for assistance.

TOYS & GAMES

Are you having a pre-Christmas sort out? We would be very grateful for donations of any children’s games or toys that are in good condition for use in our two nurture rooms.

HEALTH NOTICE

As we are in a season of increased illness and infections, in which the region is experiencing an increase in cases of sickness and diarrhoea, influenza and Covid-19 for the health and safety of everyone we would advise the following general advice:

  • Please ensure everyone washes their hands thoroughly with soap and warm water regularly.
  • Please make sure any wounds, and/or scratches are cleaned and covered up in the most appropriate way.
  • If you are unsure about the symptoms you and/or your child are experiencing – it is always best to speak to your GP or contact NHS 111.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our children, staff and school community is extremely important to us and we thank you for your continued support.

EMAILED APPPOINTMENT DETAILS

Thank you to everyone who lets us know about their children's appointments by email. We appreciate you keeping us informed. As we receive a lot of these types of emails it is not possible to send an acknowledgement every time. Your email provider should send a delivery failure notification if there has been an error in delivering the message to us. We would only contact you if there was an issue with the appointment.

RECEPTION STARTING PE

Just a reminder that reception children will be starting PE after Christmas. They will do PE every Wednesday. They are to come to school wearing their PE kit, so children need to be wearing it on the first day back - Wednesday 4th January.

We have made it a priority to ensure that our PE kit is accessible for all families, therefore there are options available. For PE days, children need to come to school wearing the following:

  • Navy plain sweatshirt (round neck)
  • Navy or black joggers
  • Navy or black shorts
  • Plain white or navy t-shirt (without collar)

Or alternatively there is now also the option of Parkside branded items, as chosen by the School Council.

  • Parkside tracksuit top
  • Parkside tracksuit bottoms
  • Parkside sports shirt in navy or white

These items are all available from the Uniform Shop on Pasture Road. Please click here for the price list.

Whether you opt for the Parkside items or just plain ones, please note that any other logos or hoodies are strictly not permitted.

Thank you for your support. If you have any questions, please contact the school office by phone or email parkside.primary@eastriding.gov.uk
