Holiday Activities Fun activities to do during this holiday season!

Here is a guide on how to have an awesome holiday season. Below is a quiz you can take to see which activity best suits you! I have also provided a list of different activities to do with the location, prices, etc. Happy Holidays!

Columbus Zoo Lights

  • Hours: Sunday - Thursday: 5:00pm - 9:00pm.
  • Friday & Saturday: 5:00pm - 10:00 pm

The Columbus Zoo Lights run through November 19- January 2. It is a great holiday activity to do with all ages. There are many attractions such as beautiful lights, animals, food, decorating cookies with Santa, and train rides!

Snow Trails

Snow Trails is located in Mansfield, Ohio and is only an hour away! It is a great activity to do with friends or family. There is skiing, snowboarding, and even glow tubing! If any of these are up your alley, this is definitely the place to be. Don't have a pair of skis or snowboard? Don't worry, you can rent a pair at Snow Trails for the day! There is a lodge to get warm and take a break to eat.

Ice skating is a great winter time activity! It can be both outdoors and indoors, so it doesn't matter the weather! Whether you are a hockey player or figure skater, or have never even skated before, it can still be a great time, especially with friends. There are many rinks in Columbus that are both inside and outside. Although, if you are looking for something local, the Lou and Gib ice rink has open skate in doors all the time!

Blue Jackets Game

Are you into sports and having a night out? A Columbus Blue Jackets game is a very fun activity for all ages! The Nationwide Arena is right in the middle of downtown Columbus with many cool restaurants and attractions around. The games are full of energy and will be a fun time no matter what your into! There are also always games happening at the Lou and Gib Ice Arena if you are looking for something more casual and close!

Play in the snow!

This is a great activity for those wanting to do an activity but wanting to stay home! Go find a hill and go sledding with friends! Play snow football! Or even build a snowman! People underestimate how fun and easy this can be with a ton of friends!

Make cookies or a gingerbread house!

A fun activity if you are looking to stay home would be making cookies or a gingerbread house! It is a fun activity to put you in the holiday spirit and a good treat to have throughout the holidays. Make it a competition with friends or just make them for a nice snack!

Watch Christmas Movies

If you are looking for a more relaxed way to spend your night, watching a Christmas or holiday movie is always a good time! Whether it's going out to the movie theater, or just watching from home, order a pizza and invite over some friends for a great evening! Christmas movie suggestions: Elf, The Christmas Story, The Holiday, Christmas Vacation.

Holiday Shopping

If you are looking for a night out, going shopping is a great way to have fun while also getting some shopping for Christmas gifts done. Check out Easton or Polaris. During the holiday time they have beautiful lights, great deals, visits from Santa, and Christmas music playing throughout the stores.
