Bobby Blane is a Nigerian artist born and bred in Lagos, indigenously hailing from Kogi state, Kabba... Currently based in Lagos, he's an artist who confidently takes pride in being sonically experimental. My sound is shaped mainly by the pioneers of afrobeat's international success, he claims. Artists like Burna boy, Wizkid, Davido, and Wande Coal, and when it comes to the international space, he gets his sonic inspiration from the likes of Drake, Travis Scott, Bob Marley, and The Weeknd...

In his words, he goes "I ensure my African essence is in every genre I encounter, my friends inspired me to make music from watching some of my other friends make it, to getting edged on by other friends to make more music". He released two songs in 2022 “LOONEY” in April and “NEXT ONE” in October.

It is obvious that Bobby Blane is a very thoughtful and extremely low-key person from his pen game... He goes ahead and says "sometimes I think I'm detrimentally lowkey for my own career"... When he's not creating a story and singing along to it, you’d often find lyrics about love for his partners and/or lyrics about love for family …

Bobby Blane is certainly a conscious and very intentional individual, and that's heavily evident in the type of songs he chooses to create. Quoting him during a conversation with friends, he says, "I know I have the capacity to be the biggest artist from this side but then I know nothing will happen if I don’t live up to the potential with conscious decisions and restrictions... completely inspired and driven by the transformation of the lives of everyone around me".

In March he's going to release Omotena which will be his first single of the year 2023, and like a rapid-fire, he's going to be hitting the market with his debut 4 tracks EP following immediately after the release.
