PTO Back-to-School
• Annual Back to School Fundraising Drive is underway and we need your help to meet our goal! Thank you to SO many of you that have donated already. Historically, the PTO has suggested a $50 donation per student to ensure sufficient funding to support our students, staff, and administration in various ways. We have also added other giving options that we would love for you to consider. Your donation, regardless of level, is GREATLY appreciated! You can pay through School Pay or pay with cash or check by sending into ZWest in an envelope marked PTO to the office. PTO would not be able to provide teacher grants, staff appreciation events, and all the other various ways they give back to school without the generous support of our families.
• Ice Cream Sales are back again! The PTO offers Friday Ice Cream treats on 15 Fridays throughout the school year. You may prepay for these through School Pay (ice cream) HERE. You may also send in cash or check in an envelope marked with your child’s name and grade. Please be sure it is marked to get to the ZWest PTO. Buy early to save money and time!
• The 2022-23 ZWest spirit shirt is now available! Please check out our new design and order to show your ZWest school spirit. These may only be purchased online. These shirts tend to run small so please consider ordering a size larger than normal. Shirts will be delivered to your child at school early September. Please visit this link to order.

Immunization Requirements 22-23
The Indiana State Department of Health, school immunization requirements for 2022-2023 have been updated. You can find the information at THIS LINK. State law stipulates that the medical records of children on file at school show the required immunizations have been completed by the 20th day of the school year. That day is August 31st for the 22-23 school year. Parents of children whose immunizations are not up-to-date should contact their health care provider or the Boone County Health Department to schedule an appointment for the necessary immunizations. Some pharmacies also carry the necessary vaccines.
If parents object to immunizations, a written objection must be on file in the school office by August 31st, 2022. This must be updated yearly. Children who do not have up-to-date vaccination records by that date will not be allowed to return to school until the proper immunization information is on file. Students who have appointments with their health care provider after August 31st, 2022, may present proof of that appointment to stay in school.

The website is ready! Please use THIS LINK to order the 2022-2023 ZWest Middle School Yearbook. Our school order code is 12820. The current price is $30 (through August 31). It will increase to $35 after that.
2022-2023 Locker Information
- (per the handbook), "Students are not permitted to apply stickers, duct tape, glue or any other damaging adhesive to the inside or outside of any locker."
- Please be mindful that store-bought metal locker shelves tend to damage the lockers, and make it difficult for our maintenance staff to maintain upkeep.
- Please remind students to not share their combination with anyone (not even a sibling or best friend).
We have updated our online forms to a new provider!
ZCS has partnered with FinalForms to collect physicals and online paperwork for your student-athletes. You may review your data at any time to verify it is current. You will be required to sign your forms once per year and after any update. Starting this year, you may also upload your Physical Form directly to your FinalForms account. 2022-23 INFORMATION FOR FALL/WINTER SPORTS:
ZCS hiring Instructional Assistants at multiple locations
Join the ZCS team and make an impact on the lives of our students. IAs work in the classroom with individual and small groups of students. Positions are 29 hours per week . Your weekends and evenings are free and you work on the school calendar.
