As a project for my visual marketing course taken at Cal State Fullerton, I conducted a concept test by creating three alternate movie posters for the film Superbad using Adobe Photoshop. The posters included an actor-focused design, a stylized graphic, and a scene-oriented design. I then conducted a survey using Qualtrics and analyzed the data that was segmented by gender, ethnicity, age and zip code in order to determine which movie poster the sample preferred. After this, I also conducted analysis of variance (ANOVA) with this data to determine marketing implications for each segment.
