Who is this for? This guide is for any student or faculty member who want to learn about the privacy settings on ePortfolios; adjusting privacy settings allow you to control who is able to view, edit, and publish your ePortfolios.
Step 1: To change the privacy settings click on the ePortfolio Menu bar and select “Settings."
Step 2: Under Permissions & Share is the Permissions setting. Click “Edit” to choose between the following options: “Private to me,” “Private within CUNY LaGuardia Community College,” or “Public.”
“Private to Me”: ePortfolio is only accessible to you, and those who you have selected to share the ePortfolio with.
“Private Within CUNY LaGuardia Community College”: ePortfolio users at LaGuardia will be able to view your ePortfolio.
“Private Within CUNY LaGuardia Community College”: ePortfolio users at LaGuardia will be able to view your ePortfolio.
Step 3: Next "Share With Specific, People, Groups, or Courses" click "Edit." Once you click "Edit," it will open up a search bar. This is where you can search for courses, groups, and individual students or faculty users at LaGuardia.
Step 4: Once you give permission to “specific groups, course, communities, and assessment group” to view your ePortfolio, you can provide specific rights like: administrators, publishers, editors, or viewers.
Admin: can view, edit, publish, access settings, and delete the ePortfolio (The administrator is the main user of the ePortfolio.)
Publisher: can view, edit, and publish the ePortfolio
Editor: can view and edit, but not publish the ePortfolio
Viewer: can only view the ePortfolio
That's it. If you have any questions, contact the ePortfolio team or visit the MB-57 office.
