Above: Last week we celebrated the end of the Winter 1 Boys' Basketball and Competitive Cheer sports season. The students enjoyed watching a high-energy performance by the cheerleaders and chanted along with their classmates while watching the annual Green and White basketball scrimmage. It provided entertainment and fun for our students and staff!
The infectious energy and enthusiasm of the crowd made it a truly inspiring experience for everyone in attendance. Spectators got in on the fun with friendly grade level competitions. Overall we had a great time and made some amazing memories with friends, colleagues and classmates!

Congratulations to the 2023 TSD Teachers of the Year
Everyday, Troy teachers demonstrate their commitment and dedication to making sure their students have a safe and inspiring learning environment. This week we are honoring those teachers who were nominated by their colleagues, parents and students.
These teachers work hard each day to ensure that their students reach their potential and make sure their students don’t just learn in the classroom, but also how to be compassionate, responsible citizens. We thank these dedicated teachers for their tireless work and congratulate them for being selected as teachers of the year.

WIDA Testing Information
If your student’s first language is not English, or if you speak a language other than English in your home, your student may be required to complete the WIDA ACCESS during the month of February. This series of tests determines eligibility in the Troy School District English Language Development (ELD) Program.
Letters were mailed in the fall to the parents of all students who will be participating in WIDA testing. Students also received a letter in January with their scheduled test sessions, and will receive updates and reminders through Schoology. For your student’s test session, please be sure that their iPad is fully charged. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Nadia Barbat

Support Our PTO
The Baker PTO has the opportunity to raise a significant amount of funds every year through purchases regularly made at Kroger and Amazon! Many of you already make purchases through theses companies. They are willing to donate a portion of the proceeds back to Baker.
These funds go directly into the classroom, impacting all Baker students. If you have not registered yet with Kroger or Amazon, simply click on the links below to find out how. Please consider asking your family and friends to sign up for this FREE benefit for our Bobcats. Thank you for support of the Baker PTO.
