Special Olympics North Carolina 2021 - A Year in Review
After nearly a year of adapting to challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic, Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC) was ready and well-equipped to deliver on its commitment to providing quality sports training again in 2021. Localizing sports programming, athletes continued to train and compete close to home and at home through fitness program Partner Up Power Up and the implementation of district invitationals. These widespread initiatives impacted schools, communities and families, serving the growth of the Special Olympics mission and movement.
