Nurse's Office Update

Today, October 11th will be Stephanie Moisan's last day as our school nurse. The wonderful Mrs. Moisan will still be working with us as our district nurse coordinator, but will be moving to the Mason Road School in Dudley. We can't thank her enough for all the care she has provided us.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Jacquelyn Marinelli as our new school nurse. Mrs. She looks forward to meeting and working with each family throughout the school year.

Spooktacular Literacy Festival

Friday, October 28th CES will have a Spooktacular Literacy Festival organized by our Amazing Reading Specialist, Amy Kirouac. Students will get to circulate through a variety of letter sounds, rhyming, and reading games and are invited to bring a costume to wear for the event (more info from teachers on this). While this is an in-school event for students only, we do need quite a few parent volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering please contact Amy Kirouac (akirouac@dcrsd.org). Also, you do need to have a current CORI check on record with the school district to volunteer at school. Our school secretary Analis Rozo, has a list of current CORIs.

School Attendance

Please remember that school attendance is mandated by law for students starting at age 6. This includes all our first graders. Both our handbook and district policy explain the attendance requirements and potential consequences for truancy. We have strong curriculum, staff, and additional supports in place to support each child's learning needs, but we need you to send your child to school in order to provide the best education possible. Please help us have high school attendance this year and watch our students soar.

Charlton PTO

The following link is for membership sign-up. This will be required each year and anyone who would like to be included in notifications for volunteering must sign up. Up-to-date CORIs are also required for volunteering.

Un-Fundraiser.  If you're not a traditional fundraiser sort of family, the Un-Fundraiser is for you. This year we will once again run the Un-Fundraiser, however, it will be done digitally. In an attempt to minimize our paper usage, save ourselves some time, and streamline the data we are receiving we will be using a google form. People can donate via Venmo or check.
