"THE CARE OF THE PATIENT IS OUR REASON OF EXISTENCE"
WHAT IS DIALYSIS?
Dialysis is the medical process of filtering blood by removing waste products and providing vital substances. When patients experience kidney failure, dialysis is provided so they are able to live a productive life. There are two types of dialysis, hemodialysis and and peritonial dialysis.
- Hemodialysis: Removes waste products through an artificial kidney comprised of a machine and dialyzer.
- Peritonial Dialysis: Removes waste products through a cleansing fluid that flows through a tube into part of your abdomen.
