God wants us to think π€ about this... to look π§ for Him and find π Him in His Word. Letβs take a look at Isaiah 40...
Day Two
Isaiah 40:3-5 - A voice of one calling: βIn the desert prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.β
What is God like?
In ancient times, when a king π entered into a city, people would go ahead of him to prepare the way. They would clear the path of people and carts, so that the king could come into the city with honor and ease.
This passage talks about the glory of God being revealed to everyone. What person or King revealed God's glory to everyone? Read John 1:14 below:
John 1:14 - The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Jesus is the King who reveals God's glory to everyone.
So what is God like?
God is the King. πΒ But he is not like a king of this earth. He came with power and humility. He came with grace and truth. Jesus is his name.
If you live with a King in your home, then you recognize that he is in charge. Jesus wants to be the King in your life. He wants you to trust and obey him. Do you ever treat Jesus like a friend, but not a king? It's time to treat him as King - with great honor and respect.
Take time to prayΒ π and tell Jesus that you want him to be the King in your life. Let him know that you will listen to him and obey him.
