Our Best
Look at our wonderful week of learning. We are very proud of our children for trying their best and not giving up.

Other News
Welsh Week
This week, we have been celebrating St David's Day. All classes have been enjoying taking part in Welsh activities. On Tuesday it lovely to see everyone dressed in red! We even had lots of Wrexham shirts!
Nant BH
This week, Year 5/6 enjoyed their residential visit to Nant BH. From the photographs posted on Twitter, it looks like they have had a great time!
I would like to thank Mr Barnes, Miss Davies and Miss Edwards for accompanying the children on their visit.
Class Photographs
On Monday 7th March, Tempest Photographs will be visiting school to take class photographs. They will be available shortly for you to purchase.
Football
Good luck to our school football who will be playing in the Wrexham Primary Schools Football Tournament next Tuesday at Cefn Druids. This is the first time our school football team have played for nearly two years!
Red Nose Day
On Friday 18th March, we will be holding a non uniform day in aid of Red Nose Day. Donations can be made via our Red Nose Just Giving Page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/minera-aided-primary-school1
Virtual Parents Evening
Our Spring Term parents evening will take place on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th March. Similar to our Autumn term meetings, this will be a virtual meeting using a website called School Cloud. A letter will be sent shortly with details on how to book your appointments.

World Book Day
We will be celebrating World Book Day in Minera School on Thursday 31st March. Children can dress up as their favourite book character.
Friends of Minera
We have a busy few weeks with our fundraising efforts. We plan to use the money raised to buy new reading books and contribute towards playground markings.
Silver Smarties
We hope the children have been helping at home and doing jobs for 20p for the Silver Smarties fundraiser. Thank you for your support with this. Please return tubes by Friday 11th March.
Easter Raffle
We will be holding an Easter Raffle again this year and there will be a non-uniform day on Thursday 24th March for donations of items. Easter eggs, chocolates and bottles of wine would be much appreciated. The draw will take place on Thursday 7th April.
Platinum Jubilee Celebration Tea Towel
We are in the process of designing a school tea towel. Every child will draw a picture of themselves and these will be printed on a tea towel with a special border to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. This will make a lovely momento of this very special occasion. These will be available to order for £3.50. Details and an order form will be sent home soon
