Frontlines to Power lines

On Veterans Day, Central Georgia EMC (CGEMC) remembers all the brave veterans and their families who sacrificed so much to protect our way of life and ensure our freedom.

In addition, CGEMC salutes our employees who have served our country in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. We are grateful and honored to have veterans within our ranks.

From the frontlines to the power lines, electric co-ops make a great fit for veterans since we share the outlook of service, teamwork, cooperation, and a "get it done" attitude. CGEMC extends a heartfelt thank you to all those who have served!

The yearly event was on hiatus for the past two years due to COVID, but now the kids can experience the “Cubihatcha Kids” outdoor education program again. CGEMC has created a special program covering the importance of electrical safety, energy conservation, and an interactive lesson on friction.

SMARTER HOLIDAYS

Consider using smart home technology to make your holiday just a little easier. For example, doorbell cameras are helpful this time of year to alert you when packages or visitors arrive. You can see who is on the doorstep and speak to them with two-way talk functionality.

If you fill your home with Christmas lights inside and out during the holidays, why not control them with smart plugs? Instead of squeezing behind the tree to unplug lights, you can say a verbal command to your smart assistants, such as an Amazon Echo or Google Assistant speaker, or control them with your smartphone.

Need some suggestions on what smart home products to buy? Find this and other Smart Home tools in our Amazon store.
