Dear Parents,
Christmas has officially arrived at St Edward's this week, starting today with our first Nativity to an in-person audience for two years and it was fantastic! The children sang and danced their hearts out and were so excited to see their families. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the performance and a very special thank you to Mrs Hagyard and all the staff involved in putting the production together. We will send out a link to the recording as soon as it is available.
We are looking forward to continuing the festivities next week with Christmas Jumper Day at school on Thursday (more details below) and the Carol Service on Friday which we hope you will all join us for.
There will be one more Celebration Assembly before the end of term where we will be announcing the winners of the House Cup. Please note that this will be on Thursday 8 December, instead of Friday, at the usual time of 8.50am.
Action Required - Carol Service Travel Arrangements
This is a reminder that school finishes for the Christmas holidays at midday next Friday after the Carol Service. We need to ensure that all children have travel arrangements to go home from All Saints Church and ask that you complete the form linked below by Tuesday 6 December to let us know your plans.
Sign Up for Spring After-School Provision
We sent a communication earlier this week to let you know that you can now sign up for After School Care and Clubs for the Spring Term. There are lots of options on offer for your child, including exciting new clubs for Handball and Comedy. If you would like to secure your child's place please complete the form linked below by Monday 5 December.
Spring Term Bus Sign-Up
Ahead of next term we need to know which children will be using the school bus service to travel to and from St Edward's. If you would like to book your child a place for the Spring term, please complete the form linked below by Friday 9 December.
Christmas Jumper Day
Next week we will be taking part in the annual Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 8 December, raising money for Save the Children. If your child is going to come to school in a Christmas jumper we would be grateful if you could send in a suggested donation of £1. We can't wait to see everyone's festive outfits!
Christmas Holiday Club Booking Deadline
This weekend is the last chance to sign up for our Christmas Holiday Club, running from Monday 12 December to Wednesday 21 December. If you would like your child to attend, please complete the form linked below by Monday 5 December.
Year 5 Atom Learning Credits
We are offering Year 5 pupils the opportunity to receive support with their preparations for senior school entrance tests for a small fee. Please read the letter from our Director of Academics, Tamara Hunt, linked below, and email her on t.hunt@stedwardsprep.com if you would prefer your child to not be included in the sessions.
