Miskolc Ice Hall
Miskolc Ice Hall Is a multi-purpose arena in Miskolc, Hungary. It is primarily used for ice sports and it is the home of the topy Hungarian ice hockey club, Miskolc JJSE. There is 5 types of ice skating in Miskolc. Figure skating ,Synchronized skating, Ice dance, Ice hockey, Speed skating
Ice hockey
Ice hockey, a game played by two teams of usually six players who wear ice skates and compete on an ice rink. The goal is a vulcanized rubber puck, driving the puck over the goal line into the net guarded by the goalie or goalkeeper. You can also do other sports in the ice rink. DVTK Jegesmedvék is the Hungarian national ice hockey team in the OB I Championship and the Erste Liga. They previously played in the Slovak Extraliga from 2018 to 2021. They play their home games in the Ice Hall in Miskolc.
Ice skating
Figure skating
Figure skating is an Olympic sport. They are evaluated by scoring. The competitor or competitors will get separate points for the technique and for the mode of performance. Elements given in every types of skating must be presented to music. In the figure skating we distinguish 6 jumps. (Axel, toe loop, loop, salchow, flip, lutz)
Depending on the age, it can be a single, double, triple or quad turn jumps.
We have 3 basic spin (Camel Spins, Sit Spins, Upright spins)
Jumps and spins can be made difficult in many ways, but it’s very complicated
Ice skating
Synchronized skating
The synchronized skating is not an Olympic sport. Synchronized skating similar to figure skating and ice dancing.There are 16 people skating on the team, and they forming circles, boxes, blocks and similar shapes. There are also even and group raises in the programs.
Ice dance
In Ice dance, a girl and a boy skates together. It is very importatnt to be in harmony the two of them so they can do all moves at the same time. Ice dancers are judged more on the precision of their footwork because jumps and throws are not allow.
Speed skating
Speed skating is a competitive form of ice skating in which competitors compete against each other to cover a certain distance. The types of speed skating are long track speed skating, short track speed skating and marathon speed skating
Bánkút
In Bánkút there is a ski resort. Bánkút is located in the Bükk which is a mountain near Miskolc. There you can ski, snowboard and sled. There are 8 ski slopes: one where beginners can learn how to ski, 3 blue (easy), 2 red (intermediate) and 2 black (advanced).
On one of the blue slopes you can also sled. The resort works only when the snow falls because they cannot use snow cannon to ensure the snow because the Bükk is a national park and it isn’t allowed there. In winter they hold amateur competitions.
There is also accommodation and a restaurant, where you can eat or drink a hot chocolate.
Zemplén Adventure Park
The Zemplén Adventure Park is a very uniqe speciality in hungary. Some words about it: the park was build on three levels of the Magas-hegy and it welcomes visitors to Sátoraljaújhely all year. As I mentioned the Adventure Park has three levels and different adventures await us at each level. There are a lot of exciting attractions but now I want to introduce you the winter sport opportunities.

Snow donuts
The use of the 3 winding “TUBBY” tracks, each 60 m long, does not require any knowledge, yet children and adults can slide along them safely. A "magic carpet", i.e. a moving walkway, ensures that you can climb up before slipping. We sit in the huge inflatable, slide down the slope, spin uncontrollably, we just have to hold on. Thanks to the plastic covering, we can enjoy snow donuts all year round.
