The Weston Weekly December 17, 2021

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff. We look forward to the students returning on Monday, January 3.

Congratulations for our Citizenship character winners this month.

In conjunction with Grinch Week at Weston Elementary School, students are holding their annual food drive. Students are donating food items to show how big and "UnGrinchy" their hearts are. For each 100 cans collected, the Grinch's heart grows one size. We were able to grow the Grich's heart seven times bigger this week.

Toby Powell, Lucas Roberts, Hudson Jordan, Brennan Wing, Elsa Pettet, and Adam Musson are shown here counting and boxing items.

Recess: As the weather turns colder, please ensure your student is dressed appropriately for outdoor recess.

School Dismissal Manager

Families are encouraged to use School Dismissal Manager to communicate their student's end of day dismissal plans. Please have these changes made by 1:00 PM daily. https://www.schooldismissalmanager.com/

Sports, Clubs & Community Involvement

We are very excited to announce auditions for our summer 2022 musical, Seussical the Musical! This will be our first production in a few years in which there will be roles for both adults and children and we would love to have a good turn-out of Hancock county residents. We are very much looking forward to this production and would love to see you all there, whether on-stage or out in the audience! Thank you!

  1. All roles are open and available.
  2. Leads will be filled by adults, but ensemble roles are open for students age 10-18. We will also need a small group of dancers only.
  3. Be prepared to sing 16-32 bars or a verse and chorus of a Broadway song (not from this show). Bring PRINTED music in the key you want to sing in. No acapella singing or singing with tracks. Also, prepare to dance a short routine.
  4. Questions: Contact Director, Beth Ray-Scott at barayscott@gmail.com
