Sandhills claims fourth golf title
From the end of the opening round of play, it appeared Sandhills was determined to bring the national title back to Pinehurst, North Carolina. The flyers claimed their third consecutive NJCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship.
Sandhills had a golfer finish in three of the top four spots in the men's individual leaderboard (Ben Read, first; Alex Martin, second; Logan Hay, fourth). The win marks the fourth national title for the Flyers.
In the team standings, Georgia Military finished second and College of DuPage came in third.
The NJCAA DIII Men's Golf Championship has been held at the Chautauqua Golf Club since 2000. Sandhills has developed a deep history at the site over the course of the years, winning the national title here in 2014, 2021 and 2022 while garnering runner-up finishes in 2013, 2015, 2018 and 2019.
