August 11th -13th, 2017 the inaugural Edebiri Foundation Reunion was hosted in Chicago IL at the Crowne Plaza Chicago. We successfully connected family from Nigeria, Canada, and all over the United States to celebrate the legacy of the Edebiri family. We visited PADS, a non-profit that supports the homeless community in Aurora, IL to do research on how to build a community center in Nigeria. We had 3 official events which included the opening night dinner where family had the opportunity to meet and greet, dance, and laugh. The next day we had a cook out in a park nearby, where we played games, conversed and ate well. We finished up the weekend with a red carpet gala that helped celebrate and honor the legacy of our forefathers and mothers.
