Alura Lovell

Alura Lovell, 11, attends a virtual officers meeting for choir, on Wednesday October 21. She has these meetings every Wednesday, "at first I was a little upset that I wouldn't get to have a face-to-face meeting with my friends," she said, "but now I realize that it's better for my time."

Alura spends a couple of hours working on homework everyday after school. "I actually prefer doing all of my homework through canvas, instead of on paper," Alura said. "It helps me to be more organized. Being organized in your school work can be just as important as studying."

Alura has a lot of household chores that she does throughout the week, but doing the dishes is the most frequent one. "It actually is a big part of what I do everyday."

Alura works at Panda Express almost every week day in order to pay for college. "Yeah, it can be really tiring, but in the end it should all be worth it," Lovell said. On average she works 20-30 hours a week.

Alura drives a white 2000's Volkswagen, "This car is really important to me because I bought it," Lovell said. "And I built it myself." Alura worked cleaning out her dad's trailers to make enough money in order to buy the car.

On this particular day Alura's mom asked her if she could go outside and set up some fall decorations she had bought. "I absolutely love this time of year," Alura said, "and if my mom asks for anything I'm definitely going to help her."

Alura has a white Havanese named Teddy. "I love this dog so much," Alura said, "he has gotten me through a lot of really hard times, and it has always been great to have him there. She has had the dog for almost 4 years now.
