The Path to Proficiency Using ACTFL Guidelines

Monday students in the Spanish 1B (second half of the Spanish 1 high school course) learned how to self evaluate and speak about their world language learning from a Proficiency standpoint and not whether or not they received an A or B on a particular assignment.

Students learned the basic proficiency guidlines, their sub levels (low, mid and high) but students also learned that these skills vay and proficiencies change based on the task that a student is trying to accomplish. Whether a task is Presentational, Interpersonal, and Interpretive.

Students worked in groups to figure out Mis Clases Locas great proficiency puzzle.
