4x100 Relay

The first event for the Mammoths was the 4x100 Relay, where for the fourth time this season, the relay team of Ben Bell, Cody Pierce, Alex Nichols and Jordan Harrison broke the School Record! This time, they won in a time of 41.37 seconds! Before the 2023 season, the School Record in the event had stood at 42.43 seconds since it was set in 1970, and this squad has brought this record down by more than a full second in just a few months, an incredible accomplishment.

Long Jump

For the fifth time this season, Adrian Friedman won the Long Jump with a jump of 6.94m (22' 9.25"), and he jumped that mark on his third and sixth attempts.

Discus

David Brown enjoyed a great day in the Discus, matching his personal best with a throw of 45.48 meters (149' 2") which is Second All-Time at Amherst!

4x400 Relay

The last event of the day was the Men's 4x400 Relay. Ellis Phillips-Gallucci led off for the Mammoths, getting the Mammoths out to a strong start and lead over the competing teams. He handed the baton to Ben Davis, who ran a great leg and extended the lead for the Mammoths! He passed the baton to Kolya Markov-Riss for the third leg, and Kolya further extended that lead and passed the baton to Cody Pierce for the anchor leg! Cody ran a strong and speedy leg and fought for every step to make it a challenge for the competing teams to beat the Mammoths. Cody brought the Mammoths across the finish line in second place in a time of 3:16.78, which is Fifth All-Time at Amherst in the event! This time is also a season best for the Mammoths in the event!

We are so proud of our small squad competing at the meet and for raising the bar for our team all season. We are so grateful for the family, friends and alumni who supported the Mammoths at the meet!
