Dear Everyone,
First of all I would like to thank all of you who have attended the first Zen Ensemble. It has been for me a great joy to be able to share with you these moments through my zen drumming practice.
It is my honor and joy to announce that we will be holding a new experimental Zen Ensemble workshop on August 25th at Tiergarten, Berlin at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) from 3 - 6 pm. This session promises to be unique opportunity, especially because I have a special guest from Japan that will perform for us at the end of our session. Her name is Fusako Yamamoto, she is a professional dancer and like me, developed her own practice after her formal studies.
The Zen Ensemble workshop sessions are intended to deepen our experience of self and personal expression. It allows us to tap into a more refined awareness of sound and natural harmony. The practice itself is an open musical exploration based on zen principles.
We will practice playing free-style through deep listening and resonance. Ensemble we will experience the power of sound, the power of listening.
Hope you will be able to join. Participation is donation basis, you may register here. Looking forward to seeing you there, Kenji
