CONRAD PARRIS - Killer

Conrad Parris is an actor, voice talent and media personality with 21 years experience. He started his career on stage with the Trinidad Theatre Workshop in 1995 with the New Actors Programme, helmed by Bernard Hazell. While there, he made his debut in Immortelle Theatre Company's production of "Santa Claus, Mixed Nuts and Fruitcake"; then appeared in the programme's graduation piece, Ntozake Shange's "For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide/When The Rainbow Is Enuf". He would go on to appear over the years in such productions as Derek Walcott's "Steel" for Trinidad Theatre Workshop; Tony Hall's and David Rudder's calypso musical, "The Brand New Lucky Diamond Horseshoe Club"; rckp's "We Like It So!", and "Do You Take This Woman?"; First Instinct Productions' "The King and I"; and JCS Entertainment's productions of "Jesus Christ Superstar", and "Mahalia: A Gospel Musical".

In the midst of his theatre training, he became involved in television through the popular soap opera "Westwood Park", and went on to work in "Love and Family"; host and produce the current affairs programme "Dot Com" for Gayelle the Channel; and co-host the cooking show "Taste" for CNC3.

Film has been a lifelong fascination for Conrad's, and he started his film journey with Horace Ove's "The Ghost of Hing King Estate". From there, he would go on to appear in Shaun Escayg's short film "Noka: Keeper of Worlds"; Nick Attin's "Escape From Babylon" and "Tomb"; Christopher Dinchong's "3 Line" and "Sanskara"; and most recently Steven Hadeed's "The Warehouse", and Darisha Beresford's "The Cutlass".

Parris has been voicing commercials and documentaries for many years, but only recently became a full time radio host on 107.7fm, Music for Life. He can be heard weekdays and Soul Train Saturdays from noon to 3pm, and Sundays from noon to 4pm.

CECILIA SALAZAR - TRANCE

Cecilia Salazar is one of the leading actresses in Trinidad & Tobago today and holds a BA in theatre from Brock University, Ontario, Canada.

She has graced the stage in many iconographic roles such as MISS Miles, The Woman of the World; Queen Mamala in the 3canal show, Lizzie in Mary Could Dance, Elsa in The Sound of Music ,Cleotilda in Earl Lovelace’s Dragon Can Dance, Isabella in The Joker of Seville, Bolom in Ti Jean & his Brothers…….to name a few. she has performed in New York, Connecticut, Boston, Berlin, Hamburg, Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, St. Croix.

Cecilia is the recipient of 5 Best Actress awards and 4 Best Supporting Actress awards, of The Cacique Awards for Excellence in Theatre in Trinidad & Tobago.

Her film work includes Home Again- Directed by Sudz Sutherland , Limbo – 2010 Norway/Trinidad & Tobago, Director/Writer Maria Sodahl & The Ghost of Hing King Estate- directed by Horace Ove. On television she has been seen locally as Belva Darling on The Reef and Crystal in West Wood Park, both created by Danielle Diffenthaller.

Cecilia currently teaches drama at St. Monica’s Prep. and at several primary schools and has a Saturday drama class. She is the proud mother of Isabella, Serena and Stella.

ROBERT MACFARLANE . DIRECTOR

Robert Macfarlane is a narrative director from the United Kingdom, based in Trinidad and Tobago. He has a degree in Digital Film and Television from the London South Bank University and has worked extensively in the film and television industry both in the UK and the Caribbean.

Directing for over 15 years he has many broadcast and festival credits to his name.

Robert has written and directed several short films, including Jab in the Dark, winner of the People’s Choice award at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival 2013, A Bess Pelau, Christmas Mugs and Still Life with Bench.

Robert has directed dozens of music videos, commercials and biographical films which have found their way to channels such as the, MTV, the Box, and VH1. Projects range from the emotional biography of construction tycoon Emile Elias, exploring the 50 years of history behind his businesses and family life to the harrowing music video All the Wars for the popular indie band Pineapple Thief.

Gaining even more experience with storytelling, Robert has also edited several feature films such as The Lies We Tell and the acclaimed Green Days by the River both of which premiered at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival 2017 and the multi awarding feature film Sally’s Way in 2014 which premiered at the Seattle Children International Film Festival in 2015. To date it has won the Global Zoom Feature Film Prize and best actress prize in the Pan-African Film Festival based in Cannes 2015.

Robert is currently developing several new projects, most notably is the film Wishing for Wings. This heart wrenching drama feature film set in a Trinidadian youth prison tells the tale of an inspirational journey to freedom for a group of young inmates. Additionally, he is currently board member of the Trinidad and Tobago Animators Network (TTAN).

LESLEY-ANNE MACFARLANE . PRODUCER

Lesley-Anne Macfarlane has been working in the audio-visual industry, between the UK and Trinidad and Tobago since 2010. She has a M.A. in Cultural Policy and Management from City University, London and BA in Visual Arts from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.

Lesley-Anne has produced several shorts namely Salty Dog and Jab in the Dark, both winners of the People’s Choice award at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival 2017 and 2013 respectively and A Bess Pelau, a short comedy.

In addition to film, she has also produced several commercials and music videos. She has also been the Line Producer on feature films Hero and Play the Devil.

She is currently the co-director of PixelPlay Media Limited and founding member of the Filmmakers Collaborative of Trinidad and Tobago (FILMCO). Lesley-Anne is currently developing several new projects, most notably her first feature film, Scattered.

ROMANO FRANCOIS . DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRPAHY

Romano Francois has been working in the television/ film industry in Trinidad and Tobago since 2002. After graduating Secondary School, he got him into a video production because of a love for Cinematography since childhood. While interning at Visual Productions Limited his learning and love for video production grew.

Mr Francois later became a freelancer in 2005 when he started working with various client filming concerts, television shows as well as corporate videos. Today he is now founder and C.E.O of Montage Productions Limited working on a wide range of videos including commercials, television shows to corporate videos.

To this day Mr Francois is currently working on developing new companies, foundations and projects.

DION BOUCAUD . EDITOR

From project conceptualization and management, to shooting, editing and everything else in between, Dion’s portfolio dates back to the 1990’s and includes news features and entertainment programmes, live broadcasts, magazine-format shows as well as several corporate and personality videos. He has had a broad range of experience having worked with television stations and private production companies in Trinidad and Tobago and St. Kitts.

In his 28 years in the industry, he has led production teams in twenty-five countries spanning North and South America, Europe and many Caribbean destinations.

In 2006 he enrolled in the UWI B.A. Film programme and earned several awards for his work, graduating with honours in 2009. Since that time he has worked on several short and feature length films including Limbo, Jab in the Dark, Sally’s Way and The Cutlass, the latter three in the capacity of Assistant Director.

He is a Producer and Associate Producer on several award winning productions including Siege, Tickle Me Rich and Julia and Joyce: A tale of two dance pioneers as well as a variety of television programmes.

He is currently the co-owner/director of PixelPlay Media Limited, a Director and founding member of the Filmmakers Collaborative of Trinidad and Tobago (FILMCO) and a serving member of Trinidad and Tobago Board of Film Censors.
