Challenge 1

The Mystery of Mozart's Requiem

Mozart’s Requiem Mass in D minor was composed in 1791 and was left unfinished when he passed away. Mozart composed his Requiem with the belief it was for himself. But who actually finished this famous piece of music?

Your turn! Create half of a work of art. This could be a song, a piece of writing, or a piece of artwork. Then, challenge someone to match your style and finish it.

Escape from Sacramento

Can you use your detective skills to get out of an escape room? Put your logic to the test at this virtual escape.

Did you get out? What a-ha moments did you have?

The Pentagon Puzzle: You find yourself in trapped in a small locked room. You search way to open the locked door and find a weird contraption on the floor under a table. Can you look for clues and solve the pentagon puzzle in under 20 moves to escape?

Create a gap that is about 12 inches across. Use different materials to create a simple bridge. Try making the strongest bridge possible.

How will you test it? What techniques will you use to build a strong bridge?

Write a mystery titled The Mystery of the Bridge to Nowhere. Incorporate your bridge into the story! Think about incorporating story elements. Make sure to build suspense for your reader!

A mystery in history: What happened to the lost colony of Roanoke?

A group of people set out to explore a new land. They arrived on an island and established a new settlement. Their leader traveled back for supplies and returned a few years later, only to find the people he left behind have vanished without a trace!

This is another true life mystery! Street artist Banksy is so mysterious that no one knows who he is. A few years ago, he made his painting shred itself the minute it was sold for a huge amount of money. Learn more about this mystery at the links below.

It was said that, "Banksy didn't destroy an artwork in the auction, he created one. Following his surprise invention on the night, we are pleased to confirm the sale of the artist's newly-titled Love is in the Bin, the first artwork in history to have been created live during an auction."
