The purpose.
The Operative Readiness Course, or in its short name - ORC - is a unique 5 - day program that is designed to compress different training-related topics into one program and within 5 days of intensive training. The objective is to either refresh or develop solid foundations of basic skillsets and procedures on the individual level.
1. The RED Operative Readiness Program is an intensive, dynamic curriculum of six days that set its focus on shooting skills on primary and secondary in addition to tactical medicine - allowing students a unique chance to practice and connect between two extremely important aspect of reality - shooting and saving a life.
2. This course is designed to refresh, as well as introduce students to skills techniques, and tactics in a broad spectrum of performance. This course will be intensive both mentally and physically, as students will learn a lot, and will go through a lot of practical training as well as shooting.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
TIME MANAGEMENT.
- Day 01 will begin at 0800 Hours. Arrival a day before is possible.
- Every day starts at 0830 and ends at 1800
- Final training day ends at 1700 Hours.
LOGISTIC / PRICING.
- Price without equipment rental: 1500€ (will include medical equipment as well as a rifle, handgun & ammunition)
- Rental equipment cost: 600€
- Days of training: Total of 6
Rental price including equipment :
- Carbine (Hk416 / Glock 17, incl. optics, magazines,slings,etc)
- Training gun for SUT day & Force on Force
- Ammunition for the entire course
- Bullet count: For this course, the total bullet count stands on 700 for Rifle, 350 for Handgun.

DAY 01 - TACMED
- Introduction to Tac Cas Care
- TACMED related equipment considerations
- Tactical equipment setup and considerations
- Care Under Fire - Theory & Introduction
- Review of medical considerations of TQ application
- Care Under Fire practical Skill Station
- Review and practice of a variety of CoTCCC approved limb TQ’s, (CAT 6/7 / SOFT-W / SAM XT)
- Review and practice of AAJT, (for Catastrophic lower limb in, criteria for application <60 secs, max 1 hr application time)
- Review and practice of ‘blood sweep’
- CUF Scenarios and individual skill
- Drag / Carry sheets - setup, considerations and practical training
- Limb TQ scenarios - Solo to patient simulation
DAY 02 - TACMED
- Review and recap of the previous training day (TD01)
- Introduction to Tactical Field Care
- CoTCCC approved Junctional TQ’, (SAMJT / CRoC / JETT / AAJT, Wound packing + pressure dressings
- NPA / iGel / Cricothyrotomy
- Respiration Assessment, how to recognize respiratory distress, review and practice respiration rate, Rate Effort Depth Feel Look Armpits Pat and search the back (RED FLAP), penetrating injury recognition and treatment, (chest seal application), recognition and treatment of Tension Pneumothorax, (A&P review on person and NCD on mannikin)
- Recognition of Shock, show Circulation video, Deployed Medicine, review, and practice taking peripheral pulses, IV/IO (FAST 1), TXA how to mix and administer review and practice, discuss fluids for resuscitation and when to use, (not required in absence of shock)
- Review and practice recognition of head/eye injury and treatment, review and practice application of the thermo blanket / foily and HPMK
- Review environment and evacuation
DAY 03 - TACTICAL CARBINE
- Basic theory of zero & ballistics
- Basic Marksmanship Mechanics (up to 100M)
- Conventional postures - Standing, kneeling, prone
- Tactical positions with the rifle include post engagement protocols
- Weapon manipulation - Reload variations
- Unconventional positions / ground positions
- Malfunctions
DAY 04 - TACMED
- Introduction to Communications and documentation (classroom)
- Evacuation and CCP Operations (classroom + outdoors)
- Prevention of friendly fire
- Small unit basic tactics - Formations, basic battle drills and breaking contact
- Tacmed based Scenarios with emphasizing tactical movements while providing care as a member of an integrated tactical team
- self-evacuation and treatment drills (stay in the fight)
DAY 05 - HANDGUN & RIFLE ADVANCE APPLICATION
1. HANDGUN
- Introduction to the handgun, belt setup, and equipment considerations
- Basic handgun marksmanship - Draw, grip, sight alignment and recoil control
- Handgun Conventional postures - Standing, kneeling, prone
- Handgun tactical positions
- Unconventional ground positions
2. RIFLE & HANDGUN COMBINED
- Weapon Proactive to Reactive transition
- Targer transitions (depth and horizontal)
- Shooting in movement
- Shoulder Transitions
- Use of covers
DAY 06 - ADVANCED SHOOTING & LIVE FIRE BASED TACMED SCENARIOS
- Dry Drilling for the purpose of refresh of previously learned material during the whole week
- movement to contact drills
- Injured shooter - Weapon manipulation under injury conditions (shooting,malfunctions,positions)
- Summary live fire drills involving both marksmanship, tactics and care under fire
- Tacmed test
- Certification
