Here in Miskolc we have three main renowned sport club
Their colours are red and white. The club was founded in 1910 but it fell apart around 1990 and then they rebuilt it in 2000. The club mostly has man and women footballers, and woman basketball team. They have much other teams also, but these are the famous ball game teams of the DVTK.
The football team was founded firstly by working young boys, and now it became one of the most famous football teams in Hungary. They lived their daylight hours at the 70’s and 80’s , at this time they won the Hungarian Cup twice, and they got a bronze medal in NB I. It got the ,,diósgyori aranycsapat,, name which mean the golden team of Diosgyor. The players of the team also got into the Olympic team. They won several titles.
The woman basketball team of the DVTK won the Hungarian Cup four times, in 1993, 1994, 2016 and in 2022. They also got a silver medal in the Hungarian Championship four times and bronze medal four times also.
MVSC Miskolc is a Hungarian football club based in the city of Miskolc, which is located in the northeastern part of the country. The club was founded in 1951, since then it is the official club of the university. The club offers an opportunity to almost everyone in the city and around it. The club has 10 main section, but they try to support minor sport grupps in the city as well.
The club has 6 sections in which the sport serve just for recreational purposes, these are: tabletennis, handball, futsal, orienteering, tannis and badminton. In this sports the club represent itself in amateur championships
The perspectives of number of players, number of squads, achieved success, basketball stands out of the sections. From the 7 year old kids to the adult pro level the club has 20 basketball squads and the senior team is in the national first leageue
