Drop-off and Pick-up Process
Drop-off: Please use the inside and outside lanes to drop off students. If you would prefer to park, please park in the north lot and walk your child to the front sidewalk. Always allow buses through and use the left lane only if you are moving “thru” to the north parking lot. Please do not park in the west spaces along the Fremont fence line.
Pick-up: When picking up your child please follow the same procedures (above) for drop-off. Always allow room for buses to move through the left lane. Only pick up students along the west sidewalks in front of the school. It is not safe to pick up students along the curve or on the sides or back of the school. Thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe!
Class Schedules
Thank you for your patience as we have been working to balance classes and ensure that students are placed in the correct courses. Schedules may continue to change through the first week of school as adjustments are made.
Wheel Schedule for 4th and 5th Graders
Parents of 4th and 5th graders, please have your student take a look at their schedule and find the letter next to every classroom number. The letter will be A, B, or C. This is considered their team and will be the schedule they will follow for their 6th and 7th periods, The Wheel. Please see the Wheel Schedule below. Students, for the most part, will travel as a pack all day. Thursday, the first day of school, is considered a Day 1, Friday is Day 2 and Monday will be Day 3. Tuesday starts the new rotation again with Day 1. Wheel teachers will explain this again and point out the days in their planner when they meet for the first week of school.
Uniforms
We understand that Rainbow Graffixx is a bit behind on some of the embroidery orders. If your shirts are not ready, please have your child wear a plain polo in Academy colors with their khaki bottoms. If for any reason you are not able to get their shirts embroidered within the first two weeks of school, please reach out to the front office to let us know. We do not want any student to miss instruction due to an embroidery delay.
Supply Lists
District Issued Devices
Returning Knights do not need to bring their devices to school until Tuesday, August 8th. On the 8th all students will be receiving new devices and returning students will turn in their old devices. Please help your child to remove any stickers on their old devices before next Tuesday. New devices may not have stickers of any kind placed on them.
Communication
The best way to reach out to a teacher is via email. Please include a short message, your contact information, the student's full name, and period, and if the student is a 4th or 5th grader, include the team.
Parent & Student Portals
Portals are tools that MPS uses to communicate grades, attendance, schedules, etc. Please use these to keep track of your student's progress.
PTO
Please visit the PTO website for lots of important information about events, fundraisers, uniforms, etc. One of the best ways to help your student succeed at MAAS is to participate and be part of the community. PTO does a great job keeping you in the loop!
